2025/26 · The Season

How the Ghost reclaimed the summit.

A new voice on the touchline

Abdeslam Ouaddou took charge for 2025/26 and built the team’s identity around pressure, width and a young attacking core. Appointed 2025; first season, first title.

The young engine

Relebohile Mofokeng (10 goals, 8 assists) and Oswin Appollis (9 goals, 6 assists) drove the front line across 30 appearances each. Patrick Maswanganyi added 8 from midfield.

Sixty-nine points — and clean sheets

Twenty-one league wins, 58 goals scored, 12 conceded. A club-record season. Sipho Chaine’s goalkeeping contributed to 12 clean sheets in 17 league games.

Champions again — and three times over

Fourteen years after their last league title, Ezimnyama stood at the top of South African football. The treble — Betway Premiership, MTN8 and Carling Knockout — followed. The Ghost was back, and carrying silver.
